The next thing I remember was having a cop standing next to me and the flashing lights behind my car. The first time I came to consciousness, I realized my car was acting weird and pulling me to the left so I got out to look at it. I don’t remember getting into my car or crashing it. Usually when I drink heavily, I’ll sleep it off in my car before I leave, but I was so far gone, I didn’t sleep first. Long story short, I left around close but I was so drunk that I blacked out. My first was going out without any friend. I was not aware of this at the time and that was my second mistake. Pro-tip for any of you new to San Antonio, the bars on the strip over-pour. I had tested positive on my birthday and was feeling very bored and lonely and thought it would be a great idea to go out by myself and maybe make some friends or meet someone. I was recovering from COVID that I had tested positive for 10 days earlier. I went to a bar I had never been to by myself. I hired my own attorney and the whole ordeal took 10 months. 21 and I had crashed my car into the curb when the cops found me. Some key info: I’m a female and was arrested at 28 with my first DUI charge and received it while living in Texas at the beginning of 2022. It is very long, so I split it up into parts to make it more digestible, and so you can skip a part of you aren’t interested in reading it. I wanted to share my whole DUI experience in case it can help some of you just going through this. And one of my back MRIs said this “There is right central and dorsal cord signal at the level of T9. The MRIs all looked pretty good, but my brain MRI now has 6 lesions. My neurologist appointment isn’t until April 10th where she will go over the MRIs with me but I am terrible at thinking of questions when I’m at the doctor office, so kind of want to get a head start. I just got my MRI reports and have some questions. However, she decided to play the MRIs as looking for MS because then that way we can add the lumbar and thoracic spine onto the MRI order and get good baseline data. My neurologist said she does not think the white matter is MS but rather from my chronic migraines. I went to my neurologist and she said I’m due for another MRI with her to check out the tumor and we want another MRI of the neck for the lymph nodes. My neck MRI had swollen lymph nodes and my brain MRI had 2 white matter spots. Now: I was in a car accident and my attorney had me get an MRI of my neck and brain. I had a previous brain tumor removed, so I get MRIs every so often to make sure it’s not growing back. Hello! I’m waiting for my doctors appointment with my neurologist but got my MRI report and have a question.

Kaspersky Internet Security is one of the best antivirus applications for businesses and individuals. Depending on your preference, you can opt for either of the plans or stick with the mid-tier Kaspersky Internet Security. In addition to this, the company offers two more plans - one more economical and the other more feature-rich. While Kaspersky Internet Security isn’t available for free, it does offer a free trial version during which you can explore the app’s many functions. However, of course, this feature requires user input before deleting anything that it flags. It even regularly checks the available logs and temporary files and removes them when required. It removes outdated software and gets rid of files that may be slowing down the system. In addition to this, Kaspersky Internet Security also cleans your PC. Users can easily access the files and return them to their original folder once they are free of malware. Until you get the results, the file remains under quarantine. If it detects any malware or threat, it uploads the file to the Cloud for further analysis. Kaspersky Internet Security scans all files and folders on your desktop. In case you want to save a few passwords, you can also do so with Kaspersky Internet Security. The antivirus application also provides users with a secure virtual keyboard that can be used to enter passwords and other sensitive information. When it comes to web protection, Kaspersky Internet Security offers an anti-tracker, a browser extension, an ad blocker, and more. A point to note here is that the app will take up several system resources when scanning your PC. Moreover, users can schedule scans after each update, computer startup, or at a specified time. For outdated software and apps exposed to malware, a Vulnerability Scan is enough to clean and protect your system. The Removable Drive Scan lets you check all your USB flash drives and hard disks. Full Scan takes a while and scans every single file and folder available on your desktop. When you enable the Quick Scan feature, the software scans memory files, boot sections, and startup files. Kaspersky Internet Security features five scanning options - Quick, Selective, Vulnerability, Removable, and Full Scan. What are the features of Kaspersky Internet Security? Once you download Kaspersky Internet Security on your Windows, you can enable the trial version and explore the app’s various advanced functions. It prevents link trackers, advertisements, and internet service providers from accessing your preferences, data, and browsing activity. While the company has three premium plans, this mid-tier version is ideal for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals.Īs a well-known antivirus application, Kaspersky Internet Security provides robust protection against viruses, malware, ransomware, and other such threats. Kaspersky Internet Security is one such application that offers the necessary protection you would need, at almost half the money. While there are several antivirus programs out there, finding one that provides several security features at a reasonable price can be difficult. The Kaspersky Global Business Development Division’s structure is quite different from our competitors’.What can users expect from Kaspersky Internet Security? Introducing Kaspersky Global Business Development Division You aren’t streaming from the laptop to the TV WiDi turns your TV into a second monitor. The benefit of WiDi is that it’s a full Internet experience-no Websites are blocked, and your computer’s browser should have all the necessary video streaming plug-ins no matter what site you visit. Media played on the laptop is displayed on your TV using the NeoTV’s WiDi app. WiDi is available on laptops with Intel processors (Ultrabooks). The content available to the NeoTV Max is unlimited when connected to a WiDi-enabled laptop. While it’s a pain to use, what can you expect from the least expensive media player to include a QWERTY keyboard? Instead, there’s a keyboard unlock button you must press each time before you start typing. Unlike Google TV remotes from Vizio and Sony, the NeoTV Max remote does not have gyroscopic technology to determine which side is up. It took me six times to enter a login for Hulu Plus because I would accidentally hit a color key that sent me back to start. With the NeoTV Max’s remote design, it’s easy to accidentally press the arrow key from off center and activate a color key. Media streamers will regularly use these buttons to bring up options or menus or to close an app. Instead of the typical separate buttons for Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow remote functions, the corners of the four-sided navigation rocker are color-coded. But Netgear made a big mistake with its navigation control. On one side of the remote are simple navigation controls along with six direct app buttons for Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus, Cinema Now, YouTube, and Pandora. The NeoTV Max may be the lowest-priced media streamer to include a two-sided remote with a QWERTY keyboard. TV connections include HDMI and a mini connector-to-composite for analog TVs (cable included). Instead, there’s a micro-SD slot that fits smartphone and tablet memory cards to which you have stored your mobile device’s photos and videos. There’s no full-sized SD card reader used in digital cameras. The top-of-the-line NTV300SL model adds a USB input to play media from an attached drive, and a micro-SD slot. While the NeoTV Max has new features and capabilities, Netgear has kept the price tag under $70. Also called the NeoTV Max, it’s smaller than previous NTV models but has added inputs and DLNA capabilities to stream from the computers and network-attached server (NAS) drives in your home network. Netgear’s newest NTV media streamer is the only media device (so far) to use Intel Wireless Display (WiDi, pronounced why die) technology to wirelessly turn your TV into a second monitor for your computer. The NeoTV might have blended in with other media streamers had it not been for its unique ability to mirror your laptop to your TV. The NTV-300SL (aka the NeoTV 300 Max) is a great, relatively inexpensive solution that lets you keep your laptop in your lap. While many TVs have PC connections and many laptops have HDMI outputs, there’s still the issue of controlling the computer while sitting on the couch. “What’s the best way to connect my PC to my TV?” is a question I am frequently asked. Flingo App adds dozens of niche video channels.DLNA certified for streaming of home media libraries.Price: $70 At a Glance: Mirrors or extends PC desktop using WiDi The single unit design comes with either two or three built-in compartments or drawers, with a single or multiple individual lids. So to maximize your delicious sear, whether to please meat lovers or feed those on the Carnivore Diet, salt well, but only at the proper time. This interference helps prevent sticking. However, when applied just before searing, salt can interfere with the bonds protein and sugar try to make between the food’s surface and the cooking surface. Salt can draw moisture out of the food, and as we’ve already discussed, moisture causes havoc in searing. Conversely, salting your food more than a few moments before searing can cause sticking or make it worse. Salting your food just before searing it can help prevent sticking. So have patience, meat lovers! Make certain your Cinder plate, grill grate, or other cooking surface has come to full temperature, especially if you’re reverse searing your food and thus need to avoid overheating the perfectly cooked inside. Also, the reactions that produce deep browning and rich flavor happen most quickly at high temperatures. Sticking is a particular problem when the surface isn’t hot enough. A surface that’s too cool pulls liquid out of the food, and we described above all of the problems that can cause. In order to sear properly, the food must touch a sufficiently hot cooking. In conclusion, take a moment and a paper towel to pat your food dry before searing. Overcooking not only doesn’t taste good but can destroy needed nutrients, which in turn has bad effects on foodways such as the Carnivore Diet. This causes food to overheat and thus overcook inside. Thirdly, water not only absorbs but transmits heat, such as into the food you’re trying to sear. Both protein and sugar bond tightly to surfaces. Secondly, water dissolves many compounds, including protein and sugars from animal based protein foods. Trying to sear wet food involves boiling off the water, which causes a temperature drop and wastes a lot of heat. First of all, water absorbs a large amount of heat, especially when it boils. The outside must be dry when food will be seared. Here are five tips for preventing sticking when searing. However, it doesn’t affect only animal based protein. This problem vexes meat lovers and plagues the Carnivore Diet. But not when it sticks and rips and leaves stuck-on residue behind. Creating that delicious brown crust, benefiting from the complex chemistry that produces such rich flavors… of course we love finishing food with a good sear. Searing is the ultimate step in food preparation. These findings have led to the proposal that amusics have normal implicit processing of pitch information, but lack conscious access to it ( Norman-Haignere et al., 2016 Peretz, 2016). This is supported by EEG research showing intact early preattentive responses to pitch deviants in amusics, but diminished late responses associated with higher order processing and conscious perception ( Moreau et al., 2013 Peretz et al., 2005, 2009 Zendel et al., 2015). Previous research has linked congenital amusia with disrupted functional and structural connections between temporal and frontal areas implicated in auditory sequence processing ( Albouy et al., 2013 Hyde et al., 2011 Loui et al., 2009). This question is of particular interest given the neural profile of the condition. Given the pitch specificity of this condition, the question arises: do amusic listeners encode the uncertainty of pitch sequences and, if so, do they do it differently than normal listeners? Amusic listeners are impaired in pitch discrimination, pitch memory, and pitch production ( Ayotte et al., 2002 Graves et al., 2019 Peretz et al., 2002). One population of interest in this regard are listeners with congenital amusia, a condition that disrupts the processing of pitch information. Studying this type of listeners is of relevance because it could provide valuable information about the auditory processes that underlie the encoding of uncertainty and its modulatory effects. However, very little is known about how this ability changes in listeners with abnormal auditory function. This modulatory effect of uncertainty is often seen as a precision-weighting mechanism that adjusts the balance between top-down predictions and bottom-up sensory signals according to their reliability ( Clark, 2013 Feldman & Friston, 2010 Hohwy, 2012).Ī growing body of evidence suggests that listeners encode the degree of uncertainty of auditory signals ( Barascud et al., 2016 Bianco et al., 2019, 2020 Garrido et al., 2013 Hsu et al., 2015 Lumaca et al., 2019 Quiroga-Martinez et al., 2019a, 2019b Sohoglu & Chait, 2016 Southwell & Chait, 2018). In the example above, this implies that a wrong or out-of-tune note would be heard more prominently if the melody were repetitive and thus highly predictable. Crucially, the salience of a surprising sound and the strength of the neural responses that it generates are dependent on the uncertainty of the context ( Quiroga-Martinez et al., 2019a, 2019b). When contradicted, these expectations give rise to prediction error responses in the brain, which are taken to reflect the update of its internal model of the auditory signal ( Friston, 2005 Friston et al., 2020 Vuust et al., 2018). When hearing a melody, for example, we constantly generate expectations about the features of upcoming sounds ( Huron, 2006). Prediction plays an important role in listening. However, our findings also hint at pitch-specific impairments in this population when uncertainty is high, thus suggesting that pitch processing under high uncertainty conditions requires an intact frontotemporal loop. The present results thus indicate that amusics are sensitive to the uncertainty of melodic sequences and that preattentive auditory change detection is greatly spared in this population across sound features and levels of predictability. However, in contrast to previous studies, pitch MMN responses in amusics were disrupted in high complexity and unfamiliar melodies. No significant group-by-complexity or group-by-familiarity interactions were detected. In both participant groups, we observed reduced MMN amplitudes and longer peak latencies for all sound features with increasing levels of complexity, and putative familiarity effects only for intensity deviants. We recorded mismatch negativity (MMN) responses to pitch, intensity, timbre, location, and rhythm deviants as a measure of auditory surprise. Uncertainty was manipulated by presenting melodies with different levels of complexity and familiarity, under the assumption that simpler and more familiar patterns would enhance pitch predictability. To answer this question, we manipulated the uncertainty of short melodies while participants with and without congenital amusia underwent EEG recordings in a passive listening task. However, it is not known whether amusic listeners with abnormal pitch processing are sensitive to the degree of uncertainty of pitch sequences and, if so, whether they are to a different extent than typical non-musician listeners. For example, in melodies, pitch deviants are more easily detected and generate larger neural responses when the context is highly predictable than when it is less so. In typical listeners, the perceptual salience of a surprising auditory event depends on the uncertainty of its context. For each Luma parent this chance increases x10, leading to odds of 1 in 750 for one Luma parent and 1 in 75 for two Luma parents. Luma chance - By default the chance of hatching a Luma Temtem is the same as encountering one in the wild, namely 1 in 7,500. Other techniques are not inherited and instead are learned by leveling or with use of training courses. the four techniques that can be used in combat. This is achieved by breeding with parents that have the respective techniques active, i.e. Techniques - Many species can inherit so-called egg techniques from other species. a male Nessla with the Hydrologist trait (Nessla's second trait) paired with a female Gazuma will pass on the trait slot to the bred Ganki which gets the Inductor trait (Ganki's second trait). However, the Engineered DNA Strand will ensure inheritance of the trait slot as viewed in the Tempedia. There is a 50% chance for each of both traits the offspring species can have. Trait slot - Traits are not inherited without the use of breeding gear. Breeding gear can be used to force certain stats of a parent to be inherited onto the offspring. Single values - Each of the offspring's stats have a 40% chance of inheriting the highest SV value between the parents, a 40% chance for the average (rounded up) and a 20% chance for the lower SV value. For example, if one parent had 8 fertility and the other had 6, after producing an egg their fertility will lower to 7 and 5 respectively, and the offspring will be born with 5 fertility as well. If the parents are a Mimit and a male temtem, the offspring's species will be the first form of the evolutionary line of the male parent.įertility - Offspring will inherit the lower value between the parents' fertility values after production of the egg. eggs produced by pairings with female Gazuma will hatch into Ganki. Species - The offspring's species will be the same as the first form of the evolutionary line of the female parent. Various aspects of the parental Temtem are heritable, some of which depend on the use of items. The Incubator device increases the hatching speed by 100% for the firstmost egg in the squad. Hatching eggs in the player's squad takes between 5 and 45 minutes, depending on the species' capture rate. Once an egg has been produced for each pair, the egg and parental pair have to be retrieved before another breeding session can be started.īreeding takes 5 minutes if both Temtem are of the same evolutionary line, or 10 minutes if they are not. Breeding can be cancelled for each deposited pair without losing fertility or items, as long as an egg has not yet been produced. Two Temtem couples can be deposited at a time for 50 each, so long as the player has at least one Temtem in the squad remaining that has not been knocked out.
